Knowledge Base
In one line: your company's internal knowledge library — Markdown pages with tags that gather policies, procedures, and team guides in one searchable place.
Plan: Available on the Professional, Advanced and Business plans.
Overview
The Knowledge Base is an internal library of pages for your company: standard operating procedures (SOPs), new-hire onboarding guides, policies, and any knowledge the team shares. Instead of scattering information across chats and files, you gather it here in tidy, searchable pages.
- Each page = a title + Markdown content + tags for classification.
- Every employee in the company reads all pages.
- The author and the company admin can edit; project managers can create new pages.
- Search is instant, in the browser, across every page.
Note: There is no version history in the current release — the last edit replaces the previous one. Coordinate with colleagues before saving a big change to a shared page.
Creating a page
- Open Knowledge Base from the sidebar.
- Press "New page."
- Write the title (up to 200 characters).
- Write the content in Markdown — headings, lists, links, tables, and code blocks.
- Add tags for classification (up to 12 per page).
- Save the page; it's immediately available to all your colleagues.
Organizing knowledge
Tags
Tags are a free-form classification that groups related pages (e.g. "hr", "sales", "tech"):
- Stored lowercase and automatically de-duplicated.
- Up to 12 tags per page, each up to 30 characters.
- Filter pages by a tag to jump straight to one topic family.
Tip: Agree on consistent tag names across the team (one tag per topic), and filtering stays clean as the library grows.
Search and order
- Pages are sorted most-recently-edited first, so the latest changes surface at the top.
- Search by a word and matching pages appear instantly.
Editing and permissions
| Action | Who can do it |
|---|---|
| Read all pages | Every company employee |
| Create a page | Admin and project managers |
| Edit a page | The page's author or the company admin |
| Delete a page | The page's author or the company admin |
Caution: A project manager can create new pages but cannot edit someone else's — just like comments. To edit any page, the permission belongs to the company admin or the page's own author.
FAQ
Q: Can every employee see all pages? A: Yes — reading is open to all company members; only editing is restricted.
Q: A colleague edited my page. Where's the old version? A: There's no version history yet, so the last save replaces the previous one. Coordinate before editing a shared page.
Q: What's the maximum page size? A: Content up to 200 KB of Markdown text — more than enough for the longest guides.
Q: How do I organize dozens of pages? A: Use tags consistently (the same name for the same topic), then filter by them to reach any topic family in one click.
