Reports & Analytics

In one line: how to read the team productivity board, export your data to CSV files, and receive a daily summary in your inbox every morning.

Plan: Available on the Professional, Advanced and Business plans.

Overview

Reports in Duwam brings three tools together in one place:

  • Productivity reports — a live board showing team attendance, tasks, morale, and who's most productive.
  • CSV export — download your tasks or the monthly payroll report as a spreadsheet that opens in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Daily email summary — an automatic morning message with the day's key numbers, plus a one-click unsubscribe link.

Note: The Reports page appears to anyone with the View reports permission; admins pass automatically. See the Settings guide to grant it to an employee.

Productivity reports

Open Reports from the sidebar to see the team board. A strip of quick cards sits at the top:

  • Active employees today.
  • Delayed tasks (past their due date and not completed).
  • Hours worked within the range, Month hours, and Overtime (month).
  • Tasks: completed vs. total.
  • Top performer: the employee with the highest score.

Below that sits the Daily summary headline, then the Workload table — one row per employee showing their name, open task count, a Productivity percentage bar, and a Morale percentage.

  1. Scan the KPI cards to read team health at a glance.
  2. Read the workload table top to bottom; the colored dot beside each name shows their live attendance status.
  3. The dots refresh automatically every half minute and react instantly when someone starts or ends their shift — no page reload needed.

Tip: The productivity score blends three factors: attendance rate, task-completion rate (the heaviest weight), and chat morale. A low number may mean lagging tasks rather than absence — read all three together before judging.

Note: "Morale" is an automatic estimate of the tone of the employee's most recent chat messages (positive vs. negative). It's a live signal that always reflects the present moment and is not bound by the date range you pick.

Setting a date range

By default the board shows the full period (all time). When you pass from and to dates, the "flow" numbers are scoped to that window: tasks by their creation date and hours by attendance day. Present-moment metrics — who's in now, currently overdue, and workload — always stay on the current state.

Caution: For the range to take effect, both dates must be well-formed (YYYY-MM-DD) and from must come before to; otherwise the board falls back to "all time" automatically.

CSV export

Duwam offers two exports, both UTF-8 CSV files that open directly in Excel or Google Sheets with correct Arabic support.

Task export

  1. Open Tasks from the sidebar, and select a project if you want to export just that one.
  2. Request Export CSV; it downloads a file with columns: id, title, project, status, priority, due date, estimate hours, actual hours, and created date.
  3. When you export with a single project selected, that project's custom field columns are added automatically.

Tip: The default export includes active work only. For an "everything we closed this month" report, export with archived tasks included; an archivedAt column appears to distinguish the rows. See the Tasks guide.

Monthly payroll report (GOSI)

The monthly GOSI report is specific to Saudi compliance and is on the roadmap — we'll announce it the moment it's enabled for Saudi companies. Until then, see the Payroll guide for the payroll data available today.

Daily email summary

An automatic message arrives every morning (8 a.m. Saudi time) to subscribed company admins, summarizing the day's state: number of active employees, present today, late today, tasks due today, overdue tasks, and unread messages.

Turning on the subscription

  1. Open Account settings.
  2. Enable the Daily email summary option.
  3. Your first message arrives on the next morning cycle.

Note: The subscription is available to company admins only (since the summary is aimed at them), and requires an email address on the account.

Unsubscribing

Every summary message carries a one-click Unsubscribe link at the bottom:

  1. Click the link straight from your inbox — no sign-in needed.
  2. A confirmation page opens telling you the summary has been stopped.
  3. You can re-enable it later from your account settings at any time.

Tip: Onboarding activation emails have a separate unsubscribe link; stopping the daily summary does not stop them, and vice versa.

Note: The summary is sent once per day per admin; if the morning job re-runs, you won't get a duplicate copy.

FAQ

Q: I don't see the Reports page in the menu. A: You need the View reports permission. Admins have it automatically; ask yours to grant it from Settings.

Q: Why does the "present now" count stay the same even after I pick a date range? A: Present-moment metrics (who's in now, currently overdue, workload) always reflect the current state; the range only affects flow numbers like hours and tasks by their date.

Q: I opened the CSV in Excel and the Arabic showed as garbled characters. A: The file is UTF-8 with a BOM so it opens with correct Arabic; if you still see errors, open it via Data → From Text/CSV and choose UTF-8.

Q: I enabled the daily summary but no message arrived. A: Make sure you have an email on file and that you're a company admin; the message is sent on the next morning cycle (8 a.m. Saudi time), not the instant you enable it.
