Download the Android app
Recommended method (direct download)
- Open the browser on your Android device.
- Go to duwam.com/download.
- Tap "Download APK".
- When the download finishes, open the file.
- If an "Unknown sources" warning appears, go to Settings → Security → Allow from this source.
Warning: Download from duwam.com only. Any other source offering an APK under the Duwam name is fake — don't trust it.
Via Google Play (soon)
We're finishing Google's review shortly. At launch you'll see a direct link on duwam.com.
First sign-in
- Open the app.
- Enter your User ID from the invitation email (e.g.,
ABC-12345). - Enter your password.
- Choose "Keep me signed in" if you want a persistent session.
Tip: If you forgot your ID, ask your manager to resend the invitation.
What's different from the web version?
The mobile app is not a full copy of the web — it's a curated selection of the most important features:
Available on mobile:
- Attendance (start shift / break / end)
- My tasks + creating tasks
- Chat (all features)
- Push notifications
- Basic reports
- Account settings
Not on mobile (use the web):
- Creating and editing complex projects
- Employee management (Admin)
- The Automation Builder
- The Virtual Office (Professional and above)
- The full collaborative Whiteboard with all its tools
Tip: This is deliberate — the mobile app is for quick daily use, the web is for full administration.
Push notifications
The most important mobile feature — notifications reach you even when the app is closed:
- New message — tap it to open the conversation directly
- New task assigned to you — tap it to open the task
- Urgent message from a manager — can't be dismissed; it shows full-screen
- Shift ending soon — a reminder 15 minutes before your shift ends
Enabling notifications
The first time you open the app, tap "Allow" in the popup. If you dismissed it: Android Settings → Apps → Duwam → Notifications → Enabled
Remote work mode
If your work mode is "remote":
- You can start your shift from anywhere.
- The app requests your location once at the start of the shift (for the record, not continuous tracking).
- You can turn off location in Android settings if you prefer — it won't stop you from working, but your logs will show no location.
Performance tips
Save your battery
- The app is battery-optimized — it uses a WebSocket with a heartbeat every 30 seconds instead of constant polling.
- If notifications are off for more than an hour, the app enters a low-power mode.
Save your data
- Image attachments in chat load at low resolution by default (you can enlarge them).
- Voice messages stream rather than fully download.
- In Settings → Mobile, enable "Data saver mode" for more compression.
Working offline
- Messages you type offline are saved locally and sent when you're back online.
- Starting/ending a shift works offline — it syncs later.
- Tasks and chat display from a local cache — they appear instantly even offline and update when you're back.
FAQ

Q: What Android version is required? A: Android 8.0 (Oreo) and above — covering ~97% of active devices.
Q: How big is the app? A: ~12 MB on download. It grows to ~40 MB after a few days of use (cache).
Q: Does it drain a lot of battery? A: No — our tests show 2–3% of the battery in a normal day of use. Less than WhatsApp.
